If you and your spouse have already reached an agreement on how you want to terminate your marriage, a dissolution is a straightforward way to end your marriage.  Neither party will be at fault in the dissolution and both parties must agree to any and all terms of a separation agreement, which equitably divides all of the assets and debts of the marriage, and if there are minor children involved, a parenting plan is necessary to address anything related to custody, visitation and child support. 

Typically, dissolutions are must less expensive and time consuming than a contested divorce, but again, both spouses must be in agreement on all terms.
